Beaverbrook Community Concert Series

The Beaverbrook Community Concert Series is proud to present music of Beethoven and Debussy for violin and piano by the Bibik Duo.
This concert will take place on 27 September, 2026 at 3:00pm, at Kanata United Church (33 Leacock Dr., Kanata ON).

About the Artists

Anna Baksheeva is a Russian born Canadian violinist and violin teacher based in Ottawa, Canada. She has been studying and playing the violin since the age of 5. Classically trained in Russia with music degrees from the United States and Canada, Anna has been teaching and performing in Ottawa since 2010. Anna is both a solo performer and a part of larger musical ensembles including duets, trios and quartets, and regularly performs in chamber series, special events, weddings and for retirement communities. Anna is also available to teach violin in her home studio, at the OMS Montessori School and online.

Natalia Bibik-Chabukiani was born into a musical family in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Beginning to play piano at the age of five, she obtained a degree in piano solo performance from the St. Petersburg State Conservatory of N. Rimsky-Korsakov and continued her music education at The Academy of Music in Tel-Aviv and The Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto (now the Glenn Gould School of Music). Since moving to Ottawa in 2018, Natalia has been playing chamber music all over Ottawa and Toronto with various musicians and groups. In 2023, she began to play with Russian-Canadian violinist Anna Baksheeva. Currently, they are playing many concerts throughout the season under the name ‘Bibik Duo’.

All of our concerts are held at Kanata United Church, 33 Leacock Drive Kanata ON. Our venue offers limited parking, with street parking
available in the surrounding neighborhood.
The venue is accessible, which includes automatic doors, a dedicated accessible washroom and no stairs required for entry.
