About the Artists

Soprano Neha Natarajan is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Science program from the University of Ottawa where she studied vocal performance under Christiane Riel. She has had the privilege to go on stage for many productions with uOttawa Opera, with some personal favourites being Damon in Handel’s Acis and Galatea (2022), Titania in Purcell’s The Fairy Queen and Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2023), and Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel (2024), and La fée marraine in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon (2025). Upcoming engagements include covering the role of Cleopatra in Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto with OperOttawa, and performing Le Feu in Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges with uOttawa Opera as a guest performer. When she’s not singing, Neha maintains a busy teaching schedule as a piano and voice teacher, and outside of music, she can be found on the couch sipping a cup of tea alongside her four cats: Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, and Chai.

Jenine Evans is an emerging pianist and experienced piano teacher from Ottawa, Ontario. Jenine completed an MMus in Collaborative Piano Performance at the University of Montreal in 2024 under the tutelage of Francis Perron and Liz Upchurch. She also studied opera repertoire with Robin Wheeler, and chamber music with Jean-Eudes Vaillancourt. Prior to her graduate studies, Jenine completed a BMus in Piano Performance at the University of Ottawa in 2021. She studied solo piano with Leopoldo Erice and Mauro Bertoli, and collaborative piano with Julien LeBlanc and Frédéric Lacroix. Jenine has refined her musicianship through the Barachois Summer Music Academy in Moncton, New Brunswick, as well as masterclasses with Roberto Plano in Rovinj, Croatia and Bardonecchia, Italy. Jenine is passionate about collaborating with other musicians as well as learning languages and their diction in singing, making vocal repertoire her main interest. Jenine also shares her love of music with her students of all ages and levels.
