October 22: String Quartet Favourites

This concert will take place on Sunday, October 22nd 2023 at 3:00pm, at Kanata United Church (33 Leacock Dr., Kanata ON). Tickets offered on a pay-what-you-can basis at the door. A $15 donation is recommended.

Sandra Allan, cello

Sandra Allan holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto.  She was a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, the Kitchener Waterloo Symphony, the Ottawa Symphony, and principal cello in the Strings of St. John’s.  Sandra currently plays in the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra.

Katherine Keppel-Jones has been an enthusiastic amateur musician her whole life, playing in string quartets with her family at an early age. Since moving to Ottawa she has played violin and viola in many local musical groups.

Janette Linkletter has a Bachelor of Music History & Theory from McMaster University. She was principal viola in the Divertimento Orchestra for 10 years and now plays viola in the Ottawa Chamber Orchestra (OCO) and first violin in the Kanata Symphony Orchestra.

Jackie Morris has played with many local orchestras, sitting as concertmaster with OCO in the early 2000s, then Parkdale Orchestra and SSJ. Recently she has re-joined OCO as principal second violin.

Our venue offers limited parking, with street parking available in the surrounding neighborhood. The venue is accessible, which includes automatic doors, a dedicated accessible washroom and no stairs required for entry.
